The CCDC continues to strengthen its relationships with publishers, and CSD-Xpedite—our internal data architecture—has significantly accelerated the process of adding structures to the CSD once articles containing Deposition Numbers are published. These strong publisher links, combined with efforts by our Data & Community Team to proactively identify published structures that we have not been notified of, help ensure that the CSD remains as up to date as possible.
However, we always welcome direct notifications from depositors and authors when their structures are published.
To access the most up-to-date structures, we recommend using our public WebCSD server, which is updated frequently. WebCSD provides early access to structures from ASAP or Early View articles, as well as to structures before full curation.
Alternatively, the CSD is formally released via ConQuest each November, with interim data updates available for download to keep your CSD installation current between major releases. Please note that for each annual CSD release, the cutoff date for archiving entries is typically two months prior to the release. This allows time for final compilation and software testing, so recently processed structures may not appear until the following release.
If you need access to a published structure not available in your current CSD version, you can retrieve it via our free Access Structures service.
