To install Mercury on all machines in a computer lab it is useful to run an unattended install from the command line. The commands given are for Windows but Linux and macOS are similar.
Download the installer then run it from the command line.CSDSInstallerOnline.exe –root /local/myinstall -c --accept-licenses install uk.ac.cam.ccdc.csd.mercury
- -root sets the root installation folder, in this case /local/myinstall
- -c confirms the start of the installation with no user input
- --accept-licenses accepts the user licence for the installer
- install uk.ac.cam.ccdc.csd.mercury will install Mercury and dependent components
After the software has been installed, activate it for all users so that the students can run it straight away. For a free CSD-Community activation:"C:\path\to\installation directory\CCDC\ccdc-utilities\software-activation\ccdc_activator.exe" -c
To activate with a key:"C:\path\to\installation directory\CCDC\ccdc-utilities\software-activation\ccdc_activator.exe" -a -A -k ACTIVATION_KEY
