Every year, we contact depositors to check whether unpublished data deposited with the CCDC over a year ago can now be published. Data deposited at the CCDC can be updated at any time after deposition, and depositors are encouraged to share structures directly through the Cambridge Structural Database (CSD) as CSD Communications if they decide not to publish in an associated scientific article.
For guidance on how to publish your structures as a CSD Communication or to update publication details if your data has already been published, please watch one of our instructional videos:

Alternatively, follow these steps:
- Sign in (or register) on the CCDC website https://www.ccdc.cam.ac.uk/deposit/mystructures
- Search for the deposition numbers listed below and click on 'Details'
You then simply need to:
- Press 'Publish in a Database’ to share your data through the CSD as a CSD Communications.
- Or click 'Add Publication' and provide us with the publication details if your data has already been published in a scientific article
- Or click 'Extend' in the Embargo Date field if you still plan to publish any of these structures and would like them to remain confidential until the point of publication for another year.
About CSD Communications:
CSD Communications can be cited like a publication, with an ISSN number and a full CCDC citation including a data DOI. Structures published this way are immediately and freely accessible via Access Structures and are curated into the CSD. This allows the wider scientific community to gain new insights from your valuable data. To date, over 30,000 datasets have been shared through CSD Communications.
