When will a data DOI be assigned to my structure?

Modified on Fri, 23 May at 1:06 AM

The CCDC assigns data DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers) to structures using DataCite’s DOI assignment service. A data DOI is generated only after a structure has been published and the associated publication details have been updated in our records. Once assigned, the DOI will resolve to the structure’s entry in Access Structures or WebCSD, and can be found under the "Data Citation" section of the entry.

For structures published as CSD Communications, the data DOI is emailed directly to the depositor once it is available.

The CCDC also has agreements in place with major journal publishers to support pre-publication data sharing with referees. If you need to provide access to your data before publication for peer review, you can request a pre-publication access link by emailing the CCDC Structure Service at structures@ccdc.cam.ac.uk.
