ConQuest stopped working on Windows after I updated to 2026.1

Modified on Mon, 4 May at 4:00 PM

This is because a runtime library msvcr90.dll was removed in the 2023.2 release, the system version of this library does not work for everyone, and the 2026.1 release requires a newer version.

This primarily affects Windows 10 users so consider upgrading to Windows 11. Alternatively, make sure that both the following runtime libraries are installed.

Then run Microsoft Update to make sure Windows is up to date and reboot your computer.

If installing the runtime libraries and running Microsoft Update does not solve the problem please submit a support ticket.
