What happens to my data when I run checkCIF/PLATON during the deposition process?

Modified on Thu, 22 May at 10:47 PM

Your CIF files are sent to the IUCr’s checkCIF/PLATON service, which generates checkCIF/PLATON reports for each structure you are depositing. Please note that your CIF files are only transmitted to the IUCr for report generation and are not stored by the IUCr.

During the deposition process, you can respond to any significant checkCIF/PLATON alerts by adding validation comments, which are then automatically embedded into your CIF files. At the end of the submission, these updated CIF files along with the checkCIF/PLATON reports will be sent to the CCDC, and you will be able to download all the modified files and reports.
