As of the 2026.1 CSD Portfolio release, most software was updated to run natively on ARM-based chipsets for macOS, allowing them to run without requiring Rosetta emulation.
There were some aspects of the CSD Portfolio that were not updated at that time, such as the installation maintenance tool, which meant that these still required Rosetta to be successfully run.
As of the 2026.2 release, all aspects of the CSD Portfolio are now natively supporting ARM-based chipsets on macOS, so Rosetta will no longer be required.
If you have the CSD Portfolio version 2026.1 or earlier installed, we would recommend updating to 2026.2 before the release of macOS 28 towards the end of 2027 as that version will end Rosetta emulation.
